  Very good neighborhood bar with great service and good food (and portions). Love sitting at the bar with the LMK and striking up conversations with the Michiganders and Ohioans who think they've discovered this place!

  After having a really good delivery experience with Joey D's, my son and grandson and I decided to check out the restaurant experience. I'm reducing my stars because the restaurant service was just terrible at 2 pm on a weekday when the restaurant was nearly empty.
  
  The pizza is still good, but come on, dude, don't drop it on the table and NEVER come back to see if we want more drinks, more water, or anything. We seriously considered walking out after we waited thirty minutes after finishing to request our check, then another twenty-five minutes for him to ring it up. When you're dining with a five-year-old sitting and waiting for an hour after you've finished eating is an unpleasant time.
  
  We ordered a half-cheese and half-five cheese pizza. The pizzas are lovely, the crust is foldable and yummy, and the five-cheese pizza had lots of cheese. My only complaint is the globs of ricotta that don't melt, leaving a mealy texture in your mouth. We definitely would have had another round of drinks as we finished ours just after the pizza arrived, but our server disappeared and we didn't see him again until a half-hour after we finished eating.  Too bad.  I'd order delivery next time.

  I always know when I come here for lunch that I can expect quality, value and good service.   Today was no exception as I was greeted right away!  
  
  My server came to the table right away and took my order.  I always go for the lunch specials as most items are under $10.00 which includes a drink (great value).    Today I ordered the slice of pizza with one topping and half of sub with Boars Head Meat (quality) that came out shortly after I ordered.  The pizza was nice, hot and crisp on the bottom and the sub perfectly toasted with a  nice texture to it.   A little heavy on the mayo but overall, great sandwich.   This came with a drink and was $8.50 plus tax.    
  
  My server did a great job and frequented often (good service) making sure there were no dirty plates and drink refilled.   The staff members always engaging with the customer and smiling which makes the experience that much better.

  Joey D's Italian Restaurant and Bar has three different sections, the bar with tables and booths, tables and booths on the other side and an outside seating area.
  
  The prices are reasonable and great. As soon we order, we were served with their signature Pepperoni bread. The cheese, Pepperoni and bread go well with meal or by itself!
  
  Our waitress was very friendly, attentive and professional! We all have various version of parmigiana, Chicken, eggplant, and veal today! The service is not only quick but drinks are filled frequently! Other tables with Jersey and New York style pizza look so appealing!
  
  Definitely a good place for Italian cuisine!

  Joey D's has pretty good food, atmosphere and service are average.  Tried the Philly Steak, it was excellent.  Also tried the deep dish. It looked beautiful, but unfortunately didn't taste as good as it looked. Sauce was a bit too sweet, a little too much parmesan, but otherwise a good quality product, lots of mozza cheese.
  
  Will definitely go back for the Philly Steak!
